The Future?

I am fascinated by wind turbines. There. I've admitted it. Parking my car under this one today was quite an experience for me as I have never been up close and personal with one as large as this before. I stood for several minutes taking it in. Listening to the alien swooshing sounds it made as it sliced through the air. Watching in awe of the fins as they rushed towards my head. I felt childlike in my curiosity, and somewhat childish when the owner of the fishery caught me and said "You never seen one before, hen?"
I can't understand the objections people have to these going up in the countryside. In my opinion they are majestic objects d'art. Form follows function. Very Bauhaus. And of course they are contributing to the sustainability of our country providing greener power. Whether they are the future or not remains to be seen.
I will continue to be fascinated.
