trepidation

This power lead is nearly at the end of its life, its been bent, twisted, cajoled and threatened to an inch of its life to keep going. The power cable goes into an old ibook that itself is on its last legs but through cannablising an older dead ibook etc its been going a long time, been heavily used and has been worth every last penny. Problem is the replacement cable is a lot o money and the ibook may not last much longer.

So every time I need it, its a small moment of trepidation wondering if this is the last time. It's handy at tired moments o clock on a night shift ;-)

Tom is flying out to Boston in January to spend some time with an American friend and his family so that'll be great for him and he's back out there in June again. I suspect in due course it may be a destination for him in life.
