Sombre

Our usual late breakfast today followed by more time in the pool. There were also a couple of rain showers but they didn't last long.

After lunch I took some time out by myself to go for a wander and took a stroll along the beach. Looking down the beach now it is very hard to imagine the devastation that happened here from the Tsunami in 2004 and how terrified everyone must have been. It has made me think about it more since being here however in no way put me off when planning our trip. Just to the left of this image on a tree are some pictures of children that lost their lives here after probably having the same fun holiday we are having. A stark reminder and it did bring a few tears to my eyes!
