Today I went South
Although we live a few miles inland it is very easy to get to the coast. As I had gone North yesterday in horrible weather, today I took a sandwich a little further to the south as the sun was shining.
Our shore line is now called the Energy Coast, (That means Windmills every where you look even out at sea).
It always was industrial so we don't have too many beaches, but we do have rock pools and large boulders to scramble over and judging by the number of people down on the shore today, (sunshine and school holidays) it is still as popular as when I was a child.
I had a walk to breath in some sea air to try and help the cold that is still lingering, this picture shows St. Bees head in the distance.
