Pear Blossom

Our daughter and granddaughter visited this morning and much of the rest of the day has been filled with me working.

Today’s picture is of some pear blossom on one of our young fruit trees. This blossom has escaped the confines of the wire cage which protects the tree from damage by the rabbits and deer. This pear tree has done exceeding well, during the recent floods, it was surrounded by water. Our young plum tree, also surrounded by even deeper flood water at the same time has also produced an enormous amount of blossom; I did not expect either of them to do this well since they are still very young trees.
