A Quiet Corner

The Rochdale Canal people have created this peaceful little corner alongside Station Road, Luddendenfoot.

The sculpture is not a stylised rabbit dropping, but depicts a woven rope fender which would be attached to the front of the boat to protect it from impact damage in the locks.
It is carved in Killkenny Limestone by Joss Smith.
