Swan's On
Her nest.
They've only recently chased of the last of the cygnets from last year's batch but the pair down at the local pond have wasted little time in setting up their nest for this year.
The Pen's safely tucked away in amongst all of the long grass away from most of the other predatory wildlife (and cameras, almost). I say most; this is only a few yards from where a clutch of loud, Buckfast swilling yoofs were when I was down this afternoon. Hopefully they're not loud enough or stupid enough to interfere with them.
There's at least two eggs in there that I could see, soon be time for some cute ugly duckling blips barring any mishaps.
