Well yay to ever new lows because I no longer have a job it's really hard when Mr Mouse is between contracts and due to current climate contracts are hard for him to come by life as a freelance artist is not fun. So today we changed my single claim for job seekers allowance to a joint claim - means we get a tiny bit more money and may fingers crossed get some help in the interim to pay something towards the mortgage (fingers crossed when we get the decision paperwork through).

I do think Mr Mouse deserves legendary status - as part of claiming job seekers allowance you enter an agreement to find work and as such you have set things you have to do to find work - you know like actually looking for a job, can't imagine why anyone wouldn't be, living or rather attempting to live on benefits is pants - anyway part of Mr Mouses job agreement is he has to tweet and Facebook. I have to look at civil service jobsites (don't hold it against me yes it was my choice to work for government) and Mr Mouse gets to look at twitter and Facebook lol.

Anyway poor Ferd and me were waiting in the car for ages while Mr Mouse was in the job centre this morning so we decided to have an impromptu picnic and walk at a local country park and Ferd was well behaved (well apart from finding all the muddy puddles and having a good paddle in each and every one).
