Helado!
In our cooking lessons this week we made ice cream with the kids. The idea was inspired by our trip to Usaquen one Sunday, where we saw icecream being made the old fashioned way of combining salt and ice under a metal bowl. We adapted this slightly to use ziplock bags, and gave them flavourings to add. It was great fun, although some of the kids were very surprised that it was cold, and one even tried to microwave it after we had just spent 15 minutes getting it to freeze...!
