The Sun

We are definitely dependent upon the sun.

The Sun (Sol) is the center of our Solar System, accounts for about 99.8% of the solar system's mass. The Earth and all other matter, everything in our solar system revolves around or orbits the Sun.

Energy from the Sun, in the form of solar energy, supports almost all life on Earth and drives the Earth's climate and weather.

Without the sun, there would be nothing, well not very much. And it would be hard to get a good tan.
