Drizzle in Ataahua

It's been a grey day on the Peninsula today, with low cloud and rain dominating the skies. The river has been rising again too, so the soundtrack of rushing water and tumbling rocks in the river has been a background soundtrack inside the house. It's therapeutic in a way, and it's nice to be able to look out the window and see white water flowing by - at a safe distance at least!

Earlier this morning Mrs H and myself headed into Lincoln for a few groceries, giving me an ideal chance to grab this shot of raincloud above Ataahua from the car as we dodged the puddles on the Akaroa Highway.

Here's hoping for a change in the weather. If not, get ready for another water-themed shot tomorrow!
