Manchester Food Fight...

...I love the idea that we have a 'Manchester Food Fight' every Friday. This sign was in Hardman Square in Spinningfields but the food fight is in the wonderfully named Upper Campfield Market at the end of Deansgate.

And while I think about it I must try one of their 'life changing burgers.' I've been in a bit of a rut of late. I'm hoping it will make me younger, better looking, a nicer person and provide me with the winning numbers for this weekend's lottery. That should just about do it...

Hardman Square is a great addition to Manchester. Beautifully looked after lawns where Manchester meets to drink cocktails, watch movies alfresco in the Summer and ice skate at Christmas. Surrounded by the corporate glass towers, it has the feel of New York but on the Irwell. I thought Hardman Square was a permanent feature but the developers of Spinningfields had it down as the site of four new buildings. But so popular is the square with the public and the tenants of the existing buildings that it has now been made permanent. And a very good thing that is...
