Postcard from Islay

Got a cracking deal on a 2 night stay in the lovely Islay Hotel in Port Ellen.
However, because of the times of the ferries we have ended up with not much longer than a full day here. Add to that 6 hours there and back to the ferry terminal and it all starts to sound like a bit of a nightmare.
Not at all. It's lovely here - all wild and windswept. It's even stopped raining.
You wouldn't believe how many whisky distilleries there are here. Visited a few and the only drink that's past my lips (so far) is Botanist gin. Much more my drop.
