London

Lovely day today in the big smoke with JP. Firstly we went to The Old Operating Theatre in Thomas Street - hidden in the roof of a church, a 300 year old herb garret, houses the only surviving 19th century operating theatre complete with wooden operating table and observation stands, from which spectators witnessed surgery without anaesthetics or antiseptics - not for the feint hearted but very interesting. JP just coped with it!!
Then off to The Tower of London, as spectacular as ever, but very busy.
Then a wander along Whitehall , around Covent Garden, Leicester Square, and China town (with a stop for a huge pot of jasmine tea). Now home, feet up with a cuppa!
