Dependence / Independence

Suppose this picture represents two things I'm dependent on - a car and the supermarket (where it was taken).

We do our bit though - we're hardly eco-warriors but we walk where we can, we get a bus into town instead of driving / parking, but the car we're dependent upon gives us independence. And for work there is no choice - only 20 miles from our house but no suitable public transport, so completely dependent there.

For shopping we use farms shops, markets, organic veg boxes, and have started using a milk man again (cuppas taste much better!). Always end up at the b*stard supermarket though for that obscure ingredient for some pukka Jamie Oliver recipe, grrrrr.
