Reflections
refelctionsToday was an interesting day.
Decided to head up to London Bridge, and my first stop was Southwark Cathedral, where this shot was taken. After that, Borough Market. Absolutely heaving with people. Very hard to photograph any part of the street food side of the market due to the sheer volume of the crowds. But found some nice quieter spots further into the market. Some amazing fruit and veg! And a lovely fish stall where I bought monkfish and prawns for dinner. After this, my journey took me to Vinopolis, the wine discovery place, and so a bottle of wine had to be bought. And a bottle of Irish whiskey, too.
So, to the photo. This image is partly stained glass window, and partly reflection of another window in a glass sculpture that's part of an art installation at the cathedral for lent, called "another day, 2014" by Edmund de Waal - see here for more details.
I was just taken with how well the modern stained glass reflected in the glass sculpture. I struggled to really understand the sculptures themselves.
