Sugar and spice and all things nice
Apparently yesterday was Siblings' Day in the US. I missed this, so here is a topical blip of a coaster today.
Guidance for celebrating Siblings' Day suggests sending a card, having dinner or going for a walk in the park with your sibling. I rather prefer the thought of a celebration that reflects the activities from when siblings spent most of their time in each others' company in childhood.
For example, encouraging a younger sibling to *insert forbidden/unwise/plainly stupid activity* with a promise of glory or reward. Guilty as charged.
Also, taking revenge on an elder sibling by whacking them around the head repeatedly with miscellaneous soft and solid toys and/or sitting on them and wrecking cartilages beyond repair. Victim as charged.
Alternatively, a joint activity would be appropriate, such as the "making perfume" favoured by the Pieraccini sisters, achieved by chucking dead petals and leaves into a dank barrel full of rainwater from which the cows in the field behind our house used to drink.
