Garden time

After some recent successes and a realization that I cannot just keep clearing the weeds away and not put anything new in - we went shopping for plants. It was the last day of a great sale - thanks L-A for telling us - and for giving us a coupon to get even more money off! We got a free apple tree from the Million Trees LA project as well as some little succulents (not pictured) and then invested in a range of fruits (strawberry, cantaloupe, watermelon), vegetables (plants - tomatoes, zucchini, seeds - carrots, sugar snap peas, pumpkin) and flowers (assorted pretty ones, snapdragons, Lobelia (for the Abbey girls!), zinnia, and er some other pretty ones that I will have to look up! Also a great deal on soil!
Thanks for the inspiration everyone especially L-A! Fingers crossed we can keep something alive for a while!
