Well, it's not a bird!
Yes, yes I know I'm late again posting so this is really a quickie.
I fed the birds and squirrels. Lucky appeared again but was not looking very lively although he flew off fast enough when I opened the back door.
It was the usual trip to Stratford for chips and a pint of Abbot Ale before I stuck my head in the Old Thatched Tavern as they sometimes have Hobgoblin on draught. Not today though! They had three different ales which were all Fullers. I do not like Fullers at all so headed straight across the road to the Alehouse. I've been there before and it's a very civilised beer cafe which closes at 8pm. It was very quiet in there and only another couple of people arrived while I was there.
That's where today's picture is from.
I didn't stay long and went up to catch the bus back towards Brum after an hour. Sod's law! I was at the stop 5 minutes early, gave it 20 minutes and then decided to walk to the nearby station and of course, the bus flew past me!
Oh well. I enjoyed the train trip for a change. It was a London Midland service and had bright green seats! Rather than go all the way back to Brum, I got off at Shirley (near Solihull) and caught a bus into Solihull from there and then got a 71 back to Sheldon. I was sat near two House of Fraser shop assistants who were discussing a horrible customer! Apparently, the woman only bought a pair of tights. Hose in America? Neither word makes any sense at all in my opinion.
Oh well. I got back eventually and had a fairly awful Indian takeaway. I guess the usual chef had the evening off.
I'm ashamed to say I watched the first of the new series of Britain's Got Talent. A couple of episodes of Still Game killed that off anyway. That is a fine way to end the day!
