Early evening in the South Downs
What a day. Met eldest son and little Amelia in Henfield. Had a coffee then on to an open day at a farm where we watched some lambs being born. Felt sorry for the poor ewes who had rejected their lambs and were locked in the equivalent of the stocks for days. I am sure country people will tell me this is normal but it didn't look very kind.
We then went to a wonderful pub called The Dog and Shepherd for lunch. Idyllic. I then had the call I had been waiting for. My lovely young man who I patted on the back had put in an offer for the house which we accepted. So, yay hay we are on again.
Day ended with a quick walk over Devil's Dyke. Bliss.
