The Wild Wild West

By Beedoesthis

let the sun in!!!

The fair maid who, the first of May,
Goes to the fields at break of day
And washes in dew from the hawthorn tree,
Will ever after handsome be.

now that, it seems, is where I am going wrong.....

a lazy day today, a gentle walk outside and then enjoying some sun in the garden. I did attempt to tidy the garden, but got bored after about ten minutes so after planting some grass seed in Mabel's corner, I gave up and sat down with a book, or rather my camera.

I was hoping to blip the goldfinch who sang loudly to his mate from a tree nearby, but couldn't get a decent shot. Still, nice to see.

This is our hawthorn. The berries are what contributes to the fatness of pigeons in the locality, and to the occasional red staining through the house.....

back to work toorrow :(, but a long weekend coming up.
