Boat house, Gosford Estate

I was fascinated by this huge, ornate boat house on one of the lakes in the Gosford Estate in East Lothian. Most of the boat houses we see on walks are painted sheds, but then this estate is a cut above most of the places we walk. As well as a considerable number of lakes, there were also grottos and follies and of course the house itself. How the other half lives is a phrase that springs to mind.
