Heading South

Arrived in the Lake District tonight in time to snatch this pic from our hotel room window before the light went. What a cold, blustery, wet day! And having been in the UK for almost two weeks now, I have to say that the food, with one or two notable exceptions, has been poor and overpriced. Restaurants we used to haunt in Glasgow have changed hands and now serve food that was "disappointing" to say the least (being polite here). Just about demented with uncomfortable beds and bad food (including a serious case of food poisoning). And still another week to go! But on the upside we will dine at the home of friends in Leeds tomorrow, and I KNOW we will be well fed there. Looking forward to it.
