Clowning Around
I went to the Bradenton Farmers Market for some fresh produce and a great cooking demo by my favorite chef, Dave Shiplett of SOMA Creekside. There were all kind of diversions in addition to the above. Street musicians, a wonderful clown that really engaged adults and kids alike, and some very interesting vendors. There was a lady with succulent gardens, a lady who made bamboo birdhouses and hanging planter gardens, some wonderful plant vendors and of course organic, local and hydroponic vegetables and fruits. The bread and olive oil and vinegar man was also very appealing. So much to shop for and enjoy. The weather was great, the day was beautiful; there is always a breeze or some shade on Old Main Street and it was a spectacular time. Dave was making and sampling a crab bisque and a wonderful arugula and peach salad. It was delicious and so I got my shopping done, got a cooking lesson and enjoyed watching the clown with his yo-yo a juggling acts. Definitely worth the trip!
