The Palace of Holyroodhouse

I hadn't been down to Holyrood (at the bottom of the Royal Mile) for ages and a bright sunny Saturday seemed like an ideal opportunity, although it was very windy and not exactly warm, especially when out of the sun. Although Holyroodhouse is open to the public (except when in use by the royal family) I've never actually been inside! I took this photo through a gap in the main gate.
