Inca exhibits in Australia
The National Gallery in Canberra has acquired on loan of course, some priceless pieces from Peru in South America. Some of the items are well over one thousand years in age and tell something of the early Inca people and their history.
I was amazed at how well preserved were the exhibits considering their age. The fine detail of the workmanship from that time is outstanding. It's unfortunate, but not surprising that photography is strictly banned, otherwise I would have been able to share on Blipfoto.
I believe that it is the first time that some of these items have ever been displayed outside of Peru, so we in Australia are fortunate indeed.
