We sat in bed first thing drinking coffee and looking at maps, thinking that we might go on a wee expedition. Once we'd put our noses out the door we thought better of it, having discovered the fierce blustery wind. So stayed in the house doing not very much at all instead.

Having a bit of unexpected time available I actually made some pastry for a pie. I thought my pastry making skills had almost atrophied with disuse, but it wasn't bad. The flour was improbably sourced by Mr H at the Baxters shop in OT, which I had assumed sold only cans of soup. Good flour too - but unfortunately the shop has now closed down.

And speaking of closed shops, the marble slab came from Woolworth's at the Foot o' the Walk. :-(
