Camelias
We cast off at 9.10 and turned the boat to go back to the Marina. A heron obligingly accompanied us for a little way, giving us time to get a photo.
We had a little stop in the morning while we took on water again and dropped off our refuse. Now we are changing from Shropshire back to Staffordshire & Worcs canals, Another long line of anglers here, all very friendly..
Kat went shopping in Pentridge and Sue was able to tell me that a tree full of blossom was a sweet chestnut. There have been some lovely bushes in the gardens bordering the canal – this camellia, I thought, was particularly eye-catching.
Another little afternoon nap.
We received some welcome news this afternoon. Kat received a message to say her job was safe. Celebrations were in order, I stayed up at night socialising.
11 o’clock: And so to bed.
