A Quiet Day

Today is a day of quiet on our Residential Course. Not imposing a rule of silence on ourselves; but being quiet together, as a way of approaching the stillness at the centre in an extended way.

So, a day full of possibilities and opportunities:
- to walk along the footpaths through the garden, listening to the birdsong;
- to watch the ripples of light on the lake, and the bubbles rising to the surface;
- to sit quietly on a tree trunk in a clearing in the wood, and feel myself nourished by the same things as the rest of creation: sunlight, air, water.
