King of Olton

I had been wondering what on earth I was going to blip for the MonoMonday:Metal challenge - and then I had a flash of inspiration on the way home from work. I had never known what on earth this sculpture was for, but in the aid of Blip I did a spot of surfing and discovered that it was a special commission by the regional travel company Centro, designed by John McKenna.

He looks good in the sunlight-but I still can't see the relevance, either for the area, or the train station!
