Wastwater

The promise of a fine day lured us to Wastwater, my favourite lake. It was grey when we arrived and initially I felt rather disappointed. However, by the time we had been to the Head and then returned along the side of the lake it had brightened up enough for me to get this popular shot of Great Gable. There were lots of people milling about and children paddling in the lake. We had lunch at Woodlands tea room which is recommended.

We came home via Birker Fell and got some great shots there too.

It was good to get out and take photographs today and we are lucky we are
able to do this on a Monday!
