Le Grand Toscano

Another piece of art in La Défense, the picture taken during lunch break. The statue is from Igor Mitoraj, created in 1983 and since then standing there.

What I have found on the internet is, that with this truncated giant the artist wants to remind, that in this still young quarter, one day history and memory will find its important and necessary place.
