All Mapped Out
Some of the best books out there have maps. Lord of the Rings, the Narnia books and apparantly Stephen King's Under the Dome.
When I was younger I always thought a writer must have given a lot of thought to the whole universe when writing a story if there was a map. He's not just thought about the characters but the whole community. He's truly created a world, not just a story. Even now I still find this with certain authors. When you can name a pub, a street or a race out of a certain book and your average person recognises it....you've created your own universe really haven't you?
Plus Stephen King is a complete genuis anyway. Author of one of my favourites stories ever (The Stand) and designer of completely surreal realities.
I'm really looking forward to reading this. :)
Christmas Nice Thing Day 15: Bought and made dinner for BF. Apparantly the leftovers are also doubling as tomorrow's breakfast. ;)
