Cry me a river

… of cherry blossoms. Such an ephemeral phenom: from full gorgeous bloom to petals floating away in the tidal basin. High winds today didn't help. Rain downpours tomorrow will finish them off…

On the positive side of things, mom's flying in from France tomorrow and will spend three weeks here, including one in Miami for my daughter's graduation at the end of the month. I was furiously cleaning the house and matching pillow cases to sheets. What an exhausting proposition this is ;)
