Mr and Mrs B out to lunch

I love these colourful birds and I feel very honoured that they choose to visit my garden. I've only been seeing Mr B very recently and had hoped that Mrs B was sitting on some eggs but unless she's left them 'home alone' there's obviously no little ones on the way just yet :-( Never mind, he seems to be feeding her up, so there's always hope, it's early in the year yet. Also on the bird pairing front, yesterday the resident pheasant brought TWO females to the garden for supper (at the same time)!!! Not sure what's going on there - maybe he's hedging his bets or gathering together a little harem - it certainly looked like a case of 'the more, the merrier' :-)))
