Open water

What a relief to us all to have the beautiful Kennebec River ice break up today without incident! I think the 65* temps today and the intensity of the sun have contributed! Ice and snow are melting! Every day we see more and more of our lawn and we are happy with the warmer days. Rick and I took our walk today without sweatshirts or jackets! The first flowers of spring are rising from the ground! It was a smiling kind of day!
