Determined stroller

I was running early when I reached the neighbourhood where today's music session was being hosted, so I took a quick trip to the nearby St Anne's Park for a few minutes blipping. It was chilly enough, but still there were people strolling around, getting exercise and a breath of fresh air. This guy was displaying a particularly determined walking style in the rose garden (unlike myself, who spent far too long crouched down taking desperately unsuccessful close-up photos of leftover roses and berries and the like - the wind was a real nuisance, and the camera's image stabilisation just wasn't doing what it was supposed to be doing. I think I need to bring a tripod with me everywhere.

After the usual music selections (mostly with a festive feel 'because of the time that's in it', we moved on to an annual event and a bit of a highlight of the Music Group year: The Great Christmas Quiz. Bernard, today's host, has been with the group since it began almost fifteen years ago (one of only a very few who've been involved from the outset). He puts a lot of time and effort into the quiz, and is remarkably patient with the rest of us who tend not to treat the proceedings as serious as perhaps we should.

As if organising the quiz wasn't enough, Bernard laid on a lovely spread of food and drink afterwards, so that it was much later than usual when things broke up. Thanks, Bernard, for a great day.
