If you can't beat them...

Looking towards Keswick.

A full day of gardening. You know the saying - "Make hay while the sun shines" so cutting the grass was one of the jobs.

Things are starting to improve but we are realising that a number (all?) of the trees and bushes have been allowed to go too long without any pruning. So high on my list of priorities when I come back from conference will be hedge trimming and tree pruning.

After our evening meal clickychick suggested a quick run out to the old Keswick road to see what the light was like and perhaps get some shots with layering of the mountains. It is unbelievable how two people can stand a couple of yards apart and end up with such radically different photos. Admittedly clickychick chose to make her shot monochrome and I didn't.

Big day tomorrow, my final visit to see my surgeon for a follow up of the hip replacement. It will be ten weeks to the day since the operation. I hope he is as pleased with my progress as I am!
