Busy Day

Been a mixture of a day...

Started off by taking my mum to the hospital as she had surgery today to have a knee replacement done. We had to be there by 7am and I hoped to wait with her for a while. I was sent away dead on 7am as visitors were not allowed to stay! Grrrrrr! Mum didn't get into theatre until 4:30pm! What a long wait! She was very groggy when we saw her this evening but is doing ok, we think.

The rest of the day was spent taking N's nephews about as they're staying with us for a few days... we went on the cable car across the Thames by the O2, had a lovely lunch at Café Rouge, caught the river bus from the O2 to the London Eye followed by an ice cream. Great day out with the boys, trying not to worry about Mum while we were out.
