Lord of the Flies

This fly was either deaf and blind, or nearly dead, because he didn't move even when I was about an inch away from him getting this macro shot. I felt kind of bad for him, just sitting there, so I tried not to disturb the grass and leaves around him. When I got this photo up on the computer screen it creeped me out, since I'm not a huge fan of insects, but I liked the depth of field effect and how you could see little hairs on the flie's back.

I haven't done my dependence day blip yet, but I have one in mind. You'll all just have to wait and see...
