The Loaf
Thomas Warburton said in 1876: "This is a family company selling traditionally baked bread with freshness and quality you really can taste."
Currently the Warburton factories produce over two million bakery products each day in 12 factories across the UK and employ around 5000 folk nationwide.
After deftly avoiding a pay strike in 2012 by caving in to workers demands over pay, Warburtons today announced plans to build twin skyscrapers in the City of London.
To be known as “The Loaf”, the new office complex will rise above the Square Mile, making a sandwich of the gherkin, and offering a multi-storey visual aid for sex education teachers.
