The unexpected

Today our reptile keepers discovered two newborn shingleback skinks in one of the exhibits! They are super cute, fitting into the palm of your hand. That being said they are still massive for newborns! Skinks give birth to live young and the mother had two babies. I certainly wouldn't have liked to give birth to two babies almost a quarter of my size!
