ship to shore

i went looking for a few old blank postcards today to use in another installment of shakesmymail and came across this 1955 telegram.

according to Google...

"City of Carlisle" was a cargo ship that was launched in 1945 and scrapped in the People's Republic of China in 1969.
"Portishead Radio" was a radio relay station that closed in 2000.

...of "Doc and Pete", there is, sadly....no trace.
