Paddling

Another lovely day marred only by the noon visit to the dentist. A very brisk and efficient young woman took a look and pronounced root canal work. Urghhhhhh. Apparently when this tooth was filled last, not very long ago, it was done too close to the nerve which has now died and there is a small abcess. Sorry about the details. Antibiotics have been prescribed and I have to go back in a fortnight. I'm trying not to think about.
Other than that I took a restorative walk to the beach and this made me smile. Two families were down there. This hardy little chap was having a whale of a time sorting out the sand while his mum, huddled in layers of jerseys, was on her mobile. Next to them, mum, dad and their three children - mats, towels, westuits, buckets, nets, spades and all were having a fine time. Nothing like a bit of warm(ish) weather, sand and sea.
