The Thick White Line

This path lies along a short walking route I often take around my office. Despite never having seen more than one other person on this pathway, staff at the adjacent seniors facility felt it necessary to paint this thick white meridian line to keep everyone on track. I'm still not sure if it's to keep people from getting lost or to reduce the chances of a scooter collision. The funniest thing about it is that I often find myself sticking to my side of the road for no apparent reason.
