Going Batty

You know you've gone Blippin' crazy when you find yourself trying to straighten up the cricket bats in a sports shop and take a photograph of them while the shop assistant isn't looking....

We actually spent TWO HOURS in a specialist cricket shop kitting Alfie out with a new bat, pads, helmet and gloves for the cricket season. It was a lovely warm, sunny day and I spent most of the 2 hours wishing I had stayed at home in the garden with my book. We eventually emerged almost £200 lighter, came home for a quick change and headed to the Dog and Duck to meet Peter (hereafter known as pizza) and Julia and the children for fish and chips and a few drinks. A lovely evening; the children disappeared to the park and left us to it. Smashing!!
