My baby girl.......29 years ago today!

This is the first photo I took of my baby girl 29 years ago. How time flies and what a lot of life that little baby has seen in the intervening 29 years. She's visited 103 countries, got two university degrees, bungee jumped 5 times (I think!), buddy jumped in New Zealand, white water rafted down the Zambese, fire walked twice, walked the Camino di Santiago di Compestela (800+ km), sailed in tall ships, navigated a huge container ship through the Suez canal, and a cruise ship through the Panama canal (several times!), navigated the Amazon on a cruise ship, survived going thru the centre of a major typhoon on a container ship, a devastating storm through the Pentland Firth on a cruise ship, survived appendicitis even after it burst in the middle of the Arabian Sea with no hope of being airlifted to hospital (and....remained on the ship for 3 weeks until she got to Rotterdam.....no wonder I'm going grey!) She's eaten larvae in the Amazon jungle, seen penguins in the Antarctic and polar bears in the Arctic. She's fought fires on ships, changed light bulbs on ships' funnels, crawled through ceilings to fix electrical faults, abseiled down the side of a skyscraper (small one and I did that one too! ), was #3 in the UK under 15 girl's chess championships. I'm sure I've missed some things out but I think you can see that my little baby girl has grown into quite an amazing woman! A definite adrenaline junky, with such a huge zest for life and she's seen and done more than most of us could hope for in two lifetimes! HAPPY BIRTHDAY darling daughter.
