Guards' Memorial
It felt like a gorgeous early summer day as I walked through St James's Park at lunchtime. The paths were thronged with groups of tourists and the grass was packed with office workers having picnic lunches.
Today's blip is a detail from the Guards' Memorial, standing on the edge of the park across from Horseguards Parade. It is made of Portland stone and was erected in 1926.
