Spring cleaning

Periodically we have to empty our pond and pressure wash the sides to remove most of the algi.

Yesterday was the day of the task but the water was too murky to blip yesterday. Besides, there was a more important matter to record yesterday.

Having emptied the pond; and caught all the fish (1 large and 25 very small), 50 frogs and a few leeches; I set about cleaning the liner.

The silt in the bottom makes excellent compost for the garden, and the lillies will split to be put in other ponds.

All in all I'm quite satisfied with my day's work.
