Three alternative lifestyles.

This is the River Trent looking from the north bank towards riverside West Bridgford.
What struck me were the three contrasting ways of living - the late 19th/early 20th Century neo-Gothic quasi castle to the right; the really modernistic glass and concrete box to the left; and in front the old river boat moored up and waiting in a state resembling suspended animation. Which would you choose?
